Enjoying life, off the hamster wheel

Snoring

I’m sitting here in the living room, computer on my lap, and I’ve been hearing some funny noises for about 15 min. from what I thought was our downstairs neighbours making weird sounds. I just realized it’s our cat, Freddie, snoring! Imagine that, little kitten snores coming from the other side of the room. He’s sleeping in the paper bag he’s claimed for himself, and I’d take a picture but I don’t want to wake him.

Anyway, too cute!

Here’s an older picture of Freds, not snoring in this case. Rather, he’s half sitting in the sink, fascinated by the water coming out of the faucet. What is it with cats and water?

On the subject of pets, here’s a couple of American links with resources on pets in housing, the Humane Society of the US, and the Delta Society. They have some good tips on how to create rules so pet owners and landlords/condo owners can work co-operatively to maintain a pet friendly environment. This is of particular interest to us because we’re going to lobby our strata to change the rules regarding pets. Currently no pets are allowed, so Fred is here against the by-laws. If you have any ideas or have gone through something similar, please share your pearls of wisdom. Thanks.
